Three commitments that decide almost every other question.
Built.
Build it ourselves. Design, engineering, infrastructure and support are in-house. Nothing core is contracted out, which keeps the standard consistent and the knowledge in the company rather than in an agency.
Owned.
Own what we run. We operate the software we build, including security, privacy and regulatory obligations. A product we cannot support properly is a product we do not ship.

Answer to New Zealanders. Our customers, our data and our obligations are here. Products are built for New Zealand conditions first and measured against New Zealand law, not adapted from somewhere else afterwards.
Our companies
Two businesses. Both built in-house.
We do not buy companies. Each business was designed, built and is run by the same team, and each is its own company, wholly owned by Bryder Holdings: KiwiBudget Limited now, and Bryder Commerce Limited once it is incorporated.
KiwiBudget
A personal budgeting app built for the way money actually works in New Zealand. It connects to New Zealand banks read-only through Akahu, builds a budget around the user's real pay cycle, and tracks bills, goals and KiwiSaver in New Zealand dollars. Launching 16 November 2026 on iOS and Android.

Bryder Commerce
The group’s ecommerce company. An online store built and run from New Zealand on the same payments, platform and support work behind KiwiBudget, with the same standard for how customers are treated. More here as it opens.

Who is accountable.
Jack Ridder
Founding Director
Jack founded Bryder Holdings in March 2026 and is its sole director, and the director of KiwiBudget Limited. He leads product and engineering across both businesses, and is the person accountable for the group's obligations to its customers, its suppliers and the Registrar.
The group has one director and a small team. That is deliberate at this stage: decisions are made quickly and by the person who has to live with them. Governance grows when the business does, not before.
